The Florida Health Information Management Association will be the recognized leader in Health Information Management for the state of Florida.

Bylaws & Rules

There are several updates to the FHIMA bylaws that will be voted on at the FHIMA House of Delegates Meeting July 16, 2012. Highlighted wording is added wording and strikethrough is deleted wording. The power to amend the FHIMA Bylaws is vested in the FHIMA House of Delegates. All proposed amendments must be published and available to the membership at least 60 days prior to delegate voting. Each Regional Association is allotted delegates to the HOD meeting! If you are interested in serving as a delegate, please contact the leadership of your Regional Association for more information!

Did you know that by being a member of AHIMA and indicating your state association as Florida, you are automatically a member of FHIMA?  There are no separate dues to pay!!  You get 2 professional memberships for the price of 1!  Plus, as a FHIMA member, you'll get reduced pricing on annual convention registration fees!

Changes to Your Contact information

If you change any of your contact information (new address, new email, etc) you MUST go to AHIMA and update your profile. Do not send changes to FHIMA. All changes must be sent to AHIMA.

To update your contact information, go to www.ahima.org and click on the "Update My Profile" in the uppermost right corner of the page.
